The Eudist Family received honors from the White House through the work accomplished by the Little Sisters of the Poor. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, acknowledged the permanent attacks suffered by the Sisters under the Obama Administration regarding the right of conscientious objection they promoted. He promised them their sufferings were coming to an end.

These are the words pronounced by President Trump:
« We very well know how the Little Sisters of the Poor underwent attacks. These incredible Sisters, who take care of the poor, of the elders and of the outcasts of society. Where are they? Where are they? Sisters, may you please stand? Come closer, Sister, come.
Congratulations, you have won a trial…you have been doing great work! I wish to assure you that your ordeal will soon come to an end. You have fought a long and difficult battle. Many people have been involved, many have been following the news for years, five years in fact. Have you had good lawyers? (They answer: Excellent!) Where are the lawyers? Come on, stand up! Good work! May I borrow your lawyers, Sister! Fine job! Fine Job! »
