Eucharistic celebration for jubilarians highlights Good Shepherd Sunday Celebration in Quezon City; bazaar of Good Shepherd products follows

A Eucharistic Celebration for silver, golden and diamond jubilarians will highlight the Good Shepherd Sunday Celebration on May 7 at the Good Shepherd Convent in Quezon City, Philippines. A bazaar that will feature Good Shepherd products from the different centers and income generating projects made by women and girls all over the country will follow.

The Sisters-jubilarians are missioned in the different parts of the country, and in Asia and will gather for this event, a collective celebration of the sisters, mission partners, families, friends and people served by the sisters.

The jubilarians chose the theme, "Kamangha-manghang Pagmamahal," thanking God for the awesome and marvelous love that God has given them during the past 25, 50 and 60 years as members of the Religious of the Good Shepherd.

The RGS Diamond Jubilarians and their mission areas are: Sr. Mary Teresita Fiel RGS (St. Bridget College- Batangas City), Sr, Mary Carmelita Medenilla RGS (Welcome House and soon in Bahay Pastulan- Tagaytay) and Sr. Mary Felicitas Nisperos RGS (Diocesan Pastoral Center for Filipinos - Hongkong).

The RGS Golden Jubilarians are: Sr. Rafaela of the Holy Family Andaguig (Contemplatives of the Good Shepherd- Tagaytay), Sr, Mary Florence Bautista RGS (Good Shepherd Community- outreach in Sariaya, Quezon), Sr. Mary Elenita Belardo RGS(Good Shepherd Home- Naga and soon in Euphrasian Community), Sr. Marie Goretti Bool (Contemplatives of the Good Shepherd- Tagaytay), Sr. Mary Peter Eymard Chua RGS (Mary Cove, Good Shepherd - Hongkong), Sr. Mary Carmelita Cruz RGS (Maryridge, Tagaytay City), Sr. Mary Clemencia Flora RGS (St. Bridget School - Buhi, Camarines Sur, Sr. Mary Amor Samonte RGS (Good Shepherd Community) and Sr. Mary Suzanne Sinenze RGS (Good Shepherd- Baguio City)

The RGS Silver Jubilarian is Mary Ananita Borbon of the Provincialate and member of the Province Leadership Team.

For several sisters, the jubilee celebrations was preceded by their retreat at the Peter Faber Spiriuality Center at the Sacred Heart Noviitate in Quezon City.

Main celebrant of the Mass is Fr. Ron Bagley CJM (Congregation of Jesus and Mary), while concelebrants are priests from the different mission areas in the country.

The Bazaar, on the other hand, will be Good Shepherd products made by women and children in the different areas where the Good Shepherd Sisters are. The Bazaar will be open to all.

The Vocation-Mission Office, led by Sr. Ana Cuielo Matuloy RGS, also sponsors the Taize Prayer and Holy Hour for Vocations at 5:30 p.m. Venue is the Good Shepherd Chapel in Quezon City. Interested persons and those who would like to join us in praying for vocations for the Church may come. Refreshments follow.
