Inês da Conceição Sebastião Xavier Denga was elected the Sector Leader of Angola-Mozambique at their VI Sector Assembly held in Luanda, Angola from 19-26 May 2017.
Sr. Inês was born in Camabatela, Province of North Kwanza, Angola, on 23 January 1967. She joined the Congregation in Samba Cajú and made her first profession on 17 July 1988, and her perpetual vows on 5 February 1995, both events in Camabatela.
She studied in Lisbon, Portugal at the Portugal Catholic University and received her licentiate in theology in 2003. She has participated in international meetings and training sessions, including: a leadership course in Brazil in 2006; project writing in South Africa in 2007; leadership training in Kenya in 2007 and in Madagascar in 2008. She also attended the ten-week Formators Training Program in Kenya during 2011-2013.
Inês ministry experiences include pastoral catechism, working with youth and families, and in the promotion of Angolan women. She has worked in education from 2005 to the present.
Her congregational ministries have included: accompanying sisters in initial formation; local coordinator in various communities; and sector councilor. Inês currently serves as the local coordinator for the community of the Sector House.

The new Sector Leadership Team will officially assume their mandate on 19 August 2017, on the feast of St. John Eudes.
