September 19th Prayer

Congregation of Jesus and Mary
Eudist Province of Venezuela
Eudist Associates of San Cristóbal

Lord Jesus, we thank you for your word which demonstrate yourimmense and incomparable love for each
one of us, where yourrequirement is to listen and obey, so that your work be realized in every heart open to your sanctifying Grace.

Lord, our Congregation of Jesus and Mary is a blessing in yourChurch, where all the members need you right now. That is why we ask for your wisdom to meditate on the following text:

Gospel of Luke 17, 11-16

“As he continued his journey to Jerusalem, he traveled through Samaria and Galilee. As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him. They stood at a distance from him and raised their voice, saying, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!” And when he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests”. As they were going they were cleansed. And one of them realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritan,”

Meditation

Let the Lord cleanse us from all he dislikes, let him guide us to be attentive to his will and let him help us to recognize that what we have overcome in our weaknesses and helplessness is due to His infinite mercy.

For this reason we conclude with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving to God for all the gifts and multiple benefits we havereceived undeservedly, including: The life testimony of our brotherJerez, the life of brothers priests that the Lord has anointed in a special way, the beginning of the process leading to the altar of the first Venezuelan Eudist priest Monsignor Miguel Antonio Salas, the continuation of vocations to the priesthood and the consecration to the priesthood in imitation of our good and faithfulLord, of our deacons Carlos Silva, Alejo Fernández and Allans Parabarit. Associates Allans also the perseverance of the associates missionaries, friends of the Congregation, servants and benefactors, and of all of you who are part of the Family legacy of our founder Saint John Eudes.
