It was a gathering of sisters, Good Shepherd, our selves, collaborators and friendscelebrating
The Eucharist and a festive meal in our Nursing Home at Beechlawn.
160 daffodils bulbs were planted to honour and remind us, when they bloom next Spring, of
the life and fruitfulness of our misión these past 160 years.
During the Eucharist, at the Offertory, we planted some more daffodils as a sign of our
continued zeal and commitment to be bearers of hope and missionaries of compassion as we
move with anticipation into the future.
Significantly the Ciborium used was presented to Sr Aloysius Morris on her Golden Jubilee in
1910. Sister Aloysius entered High Park in 1858 only 5 years after its foundation. She was the
First sister to celebrate her Golden Jubilee in High Park. The paten used was commissioned for
the canonization of St John Eudes in 1925.
A very enjoyable day was had by all.
