“Parenting in the Internet Age”

Monday, November 4th, at 6:00 PM in the Church, Chris Mueller, National Catholic speaker, youth
minister, and parent, will be giving a workshop on internet safety for parents of teens, middle school and elementary school kids.

“In the Seventies and Eighties, parents were urged to ask: ‘Do you know where your child is?’ The urgent question parents should ask now is: ‘Do you know where your child is going online?’ because in my view where they wander on the web is potentially more dangerous.”

-Chris Mueller.

It isn’t just about computer safety anymore. More children and teens are carrying “smart phones and tablets” accessing numerous apps and many new social media sites that do not have the same filters as mainstream sites such as Facebook.

Chris Mueller is a national speaker from Murrieta, CA. With over 14 years of experience in professional ministry, Chris crafts dynamic (and hilarious) talks that communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that resonates with the audiences of all ages. Chris has been selected as a part of the speaking team for the 2014 Franciscan Youth Conferences and is a regular presenter at the Life Team training conferences. His writing has been published on www.CatholicYouthMinistry.com and he has contributed to a number of publications. Chris is currently taking classes towards a Masters degree in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. He currently serves as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry at Saint Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta, CA. He is a happy husband and proud father of four amazing children, ages 9 to 2.
