Final Message of the Council of the Congregation 2013

To all Incorporated Eudists, Candidates and Associates, the members of the Council of the Congregation greet you in the joy of the Risen Christ!
During these last 10 days, we have met together to work for the good of the whole Congregation as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the present Constitutions of the CJM.

We have been encouraged by the welcome we have received from the local community and from the many Associates and Friends of the Eudists in Fortaleza. We are grateful to all of them for this beautiful manifestation of brotherhood.
You remember that since the last General Assembly, we are drawn into a movement to rediscover how the Congregation should be for each of us a school of holiness.

To help us in this spirit, we have made progress in the development of certain projects, and we have identified new ones. From the specific tasks defined at the General Assembly, we have undertaken the following:

• Of development of the Congregation through the projects in the Philippines and the new missionary implantations at Lourdes and Rome;

• Of animation of the Eudists and Associates by supporting the work of the various commissions concerning the cause of the doctorate of Saint John Eudes, the influence of Eudist spirituality, initial and ongoing formation, commitment to the seminaries, and a committee on publications;

• Of communion within the Congregation and in the Eudist Family in preparation for the international gathering of Associates and Friends in 2014, the Congress on the Identity and Eudist Mission for the New Evangelization in 2015, and specifying the project of a future directory on the economic goods of the Congregation.

All of these subjects will be developed in future documents. But for the time being, we can all make ourselves available for undertaking these projects. So we can be truly missionary disciples of the Lord, builders of his kingdom. May Jesus and Mary, superiors and founders of our Congregation, bless us and help us on this common road.

Fraternally,

Le Council de Congregation
